今日は二百十日。。。

昨日、秋田の大曲で開催された花火大会をNHKのTVで観ていた。私の気持ちの中では、この花火大会が終わることは、今年の夏が終わることに等しい。
まだまだ、日中は、暑い日が続いているが、日差しが弱まってきた気がするし、日が暮れるのも少し早くなった。
そういえば、今日が二百十日だ。
良い区切りだろう。
さて、アルカリ性に傾いた土壌になってしまったバラの鉢にピートモスをくわえてみるか。
Last night, I watched the fireworks festival held in Ōmagari, Akita, on NHK. For me, the event is a farewell to summer itself.
Even the days are still hot, yet I can sense the sunlight has grown gentler, and the evenings are arriving a little earlier than before.
Come to think of it, today marks the 210th day from the vernal equinox as noted in the old Japanese calendar, so it is a natural turning point. Summer is drawing to a close, and autumn is quietly approaching.
I suppose it’s time to add some peat moss to one of my rose pots — the soil has become too alkaline.
